as much as i hate to say it i have come to realize that the grammy's isnt necessarily about the best music, but rather the most popular. this year lil wayne is nominated for 8 grammys (the most of any artist) which i think is bittersweet because he has put more verses out this past year and a half than any other rapper before him has in that period of time, but it always hasn't been of the highest "Tha Carter II" quality that i know he is capable of. he's up for best rap album and album of the year which is really big. but, i dont think he should win either. radiohead or coldplay should get album of the year, and lupe or jay-z should get best rap album. this should be an interesting year at the grammy's, and a slightly calmer one seeing as mr. west isnt individually nominated for anything.
